About Van der Putten
Van der Putten is an organ building company in Winschoten, near Groningen (NL). Our workshop is in Weener (D). An enthusiastic staff with a great passion for historical organs and old tunings works here. Nobody understands the centuries-old craft of organ building better.
We are a small company and that gives us flexibility. The core of the company consists of Ingrid Noack-Kirschner (director) and Winold van der Putten (founder). Every project can reckon on our full attention and personal approach. We work together with some good partners, including the organ builders Harm Kirschner and Mense Ruiter orgelmakers. For woodcarving and case restoration we work with Tico Top.
We may be a small company, but we work on large projects. An example is the new organ in the Evangelische Kirchengemeinde (Evangelical Church) in Bremen-Walle (Ger), that is completely oriented to the period around 1650. It had to be as uncompromising as possible, and that required us to set up our own pipe shop and to cast pipe metal on sand.
In all these years we have built many new instruments and restored many others. Our thorough way of working has proven itself in many projects.
Restoration of organs up to 20 stops is our specialty. The older the instrument, the better. We also love to build new chest organs and small house- and church-organs.
Just get in contact with us if you want to know more about our expertise. We’d love to tell you more!
